Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Shrimp

Rinse the large shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Ensure they are peeled and deveined.

2

Season the Shrimp

In a bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the shrimp and toss to coat evenly.

Breading Process

3

Prepare the Breading Station

Set up three shallow bowls: one with all-purpose flour, one with a beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs.

4

Bread the Shrimp

Dredge each shrimp in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the beaten egg, ensuring it is fully coated, then roll it in the breadcrumbs until well covered. Repeat for all shrimp.

Frying

5

Heat the Oil

In a large deep skillet or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

6

Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

7

Drain and Serve

Remove the fried shrimp with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
