Preparing the Teriyaki Sauce
Mixing Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Thickening the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Add this mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and set aside.
Grilling the Sirloin

During the last few minutes of grilling, baste the steak with the teriyaki sauce to enhance the flavor.

Plating
Slice the rested steak against the grain and arrange it on a serving platter.
Garnishing
Drizzle any remaining teriyaki sauce over the sliced steak. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
