Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Fries or Fruit Cup
Method
Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. This will help achieve a golden and crispy exterior.
- 2
Assemble the Sandwich
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Add the slices of cheddar cheese on top, and then place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
- 3
Grill the Sandwich
Cook the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the other side is golden brown.
- 4
Slice and Serve
Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then slice it in half and serve warm.
Fries or Fruit Cup
- 5
For Fries
Prepare frozen French fries according to package instructions, either by baking in the oven or frying. Serve alongside the grilled cheese sandwich.
- 6
For Fruit Cup
If opting for a fruit cup, wash and cut assorted fresh fruit into bite-sized pieces. Combine in a bowl and serve alongside the grilled cheese sandwich.
