Quesadilla Preparation

Prepare the Tortillas
Lay one flour tortilla flat on a clean surface.

Add Cheese Filling
Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese and half of the shredded Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the tortilla.

Top with Second Tortilla
Place the second flour tortilla on top of the cheese-covered tortilla.

Melt Butter in Pan
In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Cook the Quesadilla
Carefully place the quesadilla in the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.

Flip the Quesadilla
Using a spatula, flip the quesadilla and add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Cook the other side for 2-3 more minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Slice and Serve
Remove the quesadilla from the skillet, allow to cool slightly, then cut into wedges and serve with your choice of fries or a fruit cup.
