Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Jalapenos

Wash the jalapenos and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes to reduce heat, if desired.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Once done, remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces.

  4. 4

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, crumbled bacon, and shredded pepper jack cheese. Add garlic powder, chives, salt, and black pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.

Assembly and Baking

  1. 5

    Stuff the Jalapenos

Using a spoon, fill each jalapeno half with the cream cheese mixture until it is heaping.

  2. 6

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the filled jalapenos on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

  3. 7

    Bake the Jalapenos

Bake the stuffed jalapenos in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapenos are tender and the filling is bubbly and golden.

  4. 8

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your jalapeno poppers hot!
