Cheese Bites

Method

Cheese Bites Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cheese

Cut the habanero cheese into bite-sized cubes, approximately 1-inch in size.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second bowl, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in the third bowl.

  3. 3

    Bread the Cheese

Coat each cheese cube in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat until all cheese cubes are coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Cheese Bites

Carefully add the breaded cheese bites to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Marinara Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Sauté the Garlic

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 7

    Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  3. 8

    Simmer the Sauce

Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.

  4. 9

    Finish with Fresh Basil

Stir in the chopped fresh basil just before serving.
