Shellfish & Accompaniments
Method
Preparation & Serving
- 1
Prepare the Shellfish
Ensure all shellfish items are fresh and cleaned properly. Arrange oysters on a bed of ice on a platter.
- 2
Cook the Shrimp
Boil the shrimp in salted water for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Remove from heat and immediately place in an ice bath to stop cooking.
- 3
Prepare King Crab Legs
If using frozen king crab legs, thaw them in the refrigerator overnight. Serve cold or heat slightly before serving.
- 4
Prepare Lobster
If not already prepped, cook the lobster in boiling water for about 10-12 minutes until cooked through. Cool and cut into chunks.
- 5
Assemble the Platter
On a large serving platter, arrange the oysters, shrimp, king crab legs, and lobster. Add lemon wedges and small bowls of cocktail sauce and melted butter.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve chilled with additional lemon wedges on the side.
