Chicken Tenders
Method
Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Begin by cutting the chicken breasts into tender-sized strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Dredging Stations
In three separate shallow bowls, set up your dredging stations: one with all-purpose flour combined with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder; the second with beaten eggs mixed with milk; and the third with breadcrumbs.
- 3
Dredging Process
Take each chicken strip and first coat it in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers. You can check if the oil is hot enough by dropping a small piece of bread into it; if it sizzles immediately, the oil is ready.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully place the breaded chicken tenders into the hot oil in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the pan; you may need to do this in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
