Method
Preparation of Caviar
- 1
Chill the Caviar
Ensure the Israeli Osetra Caviar is kept chilled before serving, ideally at a temperature between -2°C to 2°C (28°F to 36°F). Place the caviar tin in a bowl of crushed ice to maintain its temperature.
Preparing Accompaniments
- 2
Prepare Blini
If using pre-made blini, warm them slightly in a dry skillet over low heat for about 1-2 minutes per side. If making from scratch, prepare your blini batter and cook them on a non-stick skillet until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.
- 3
Prepare Crème Fraîche
Spoon the crème fraîche into a serving bowl and set aside. Optionally, you can add a pinch of salt or lemon zest to enhance the flavor.
- 4
Chop Chives
Finely chop chives with a sharp knife and place them in a small bowl for easy serving.
Serving
- 5
Plate the Dish
On a serving platter, arrange the warmed blini. Top each blin with a dollop of crème fraîche, followed by a small spoonful of Israeli Osetra Caviar. Sprinkle chopped chives over the caviar.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Serve with lemon wedges on the side. Allow guests to squeeze lemon juice over their caviar for an added touch of brightness.
