Method

Infused Vodka Preparation

  1. 1

    Infuse the Vodka

In a clean glass jar, combine 2 cups of vodka with 1 cup of sliced fresh strawberries. Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place for at least 24 hours. Shake gently every few hours.

Simple Syrup Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

Drink Assembly

  1. 3

    Muddle Strawberries and Mint

In a cocktail shaker, add 1 cup of fresh strawberries (hulled and halved) and 10 mint leaves. Muddle them together gently to release the juices and flavors.

  2. 4

    Add Vodka and Lemon Juice

Pour in 2 cups of the strawberry infused vodka and 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add 1/4 cup of the prepared simple syrup to the shaker (adjust to taste).

  3. 5

    Shake and Strain

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.

  4. 6

    Top with Soda

Top the drink with 1 cup of club soda. Stir gently to combine.

  5. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with additional mint leaves and a strawberry slice on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately.
