Tortilla Chips

Method

Tortilla Chips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tortillas

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the blue corn tortillas into triangles to form chips.

  2. 2

    Season and Bake

In a large bowl, toss the tortilla triangles with olive oil and sea salt until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Bake

Bake the tortilla chips in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until they are crispy and slightly golden, turning halfway through for even cooking.

  4. 4

    Cool

Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Guacamole

  1. 5

    Prepare the Avocados

Cut the ripe avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

  2. 6

    Mash the Avocado

Using a fork or a potato masher, mash the avocado until smooth but still a bit chunky, depending on your preference.

  3. 7

    Add Flavorings

Add the lime juice, finely chopped red onion, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño, sea salt, and black pepper to the mashed avocado.

  4. 8

    Mix Together

Stir all the ingredients together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

  5. 9

    Serve

Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and serve immediately with the baked tortilla chips.
