Method
Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente (approximately 8-10 minutes). Drain the pasta and set aside.
Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 2
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3
Add Cream
Slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing it to cook for about 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Incorporate Cheese
Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until it is fully melted and combined. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
Combine and Serve
- 5
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little pasta cooking water to reach your desired consistency.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Serve the Alfredo pasta immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
