Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Juice the Lemons

Start by juicing enough fresh lemons to yield 1 cup of juice. You can use a citrus juicer or simply squeeze them by hand. Strain the juice to remove any seeds or pulp.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mint

Rinse the fresh mint leaves under cold water to remove any dirt. Gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Set aside a few sprigs for garnish if desired.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a blender, combine the fresh lemon juice, fresh mint leaves, granulated sugar, and water. Blend on high until the mint is finely chopped and the sugar has dissolved completely.

  2. 4

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if needed. Blend again briefly if you add more sugar.

Serving

  1. 5

    Chill and Serve

Pour the mint lemonade into a pitcher and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve over ice in glasses, garnished with lemon slices and mint sprigs if desired.
