Marinade

Method

Preparing the Marinade

  1. 1

    Mix the Marinade

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Whisk together until well blended.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Add the chicken cubes to the marinade mixture. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.

Preparing the Skewers

  1. 3

    Soak Wooden Skewers (if using)

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Skewers

Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of bell peppers and red onion for color and flavor.

Grilling

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F or 190°C to 232°C).

  2. 6

    Grill the Skewers

Place the assembled skewers on the grill. Grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  3. 7

    Check Doneness

Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) for safe consumption.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve Hot

Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy the grilled chicken skewers warm!
