Instructions for Panko Fried Fish
Preparation of Fish
Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside.
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs mixed with milk in the second, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with paprika in the third.
Breading the Fish
Dredge each fish fillet in the flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
Frying the Fish
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded fish fillets in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Draining and Serving
Remove the fried fish from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with lemon wedges and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
