Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Rinse the pork ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- 2
Make the Dry Rub
In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. This will create a flavorful dry rub for the ribs.
- 3
Season the Ribs
Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub mixture, pressing it into the meat. Make sure to cover all areas for maximum flavor.
Cooking
- 4
Bake the Ribs
Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, bone side down. Cover the ribs tightly with another sheet of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
- 5
Prepare the BBQ Sauce
While the ribs are baking, combine the tomato ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir and bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it thicken for about 10-15 minutes.

- 7
Finish Cooking
Increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Return the ribs to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 30 minutes, brushing with more BBQ sauce halfway through.
Serving

Slice and Serve
Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes. Slice between the bones and serve with any remaining BBQ sauce on the side.
