Cook Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add salt.

Cook Fettuccine
Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
Cook Chicken

Prep Chicken
Season the chicken breasts on both sides with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Cook Chicken
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.

Slice Chicken
Remove the chicken from the skillet, let it rest for a few minutes, and then slice it into strips.

Add Cream and Cheese
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Season Sauce
Season the sauce with salt and black pepper. If it's too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Combine and Serve

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat evenly.

Add Chicken
Place the sliced chicken on top of the pasta and garnish with chopped parsley.
