Cook the Bacon
In a large pot, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pot.

Add Potatoes and Broth
Add the diced potatoes, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until potatoes are tender.

Incorporate Clams and Cream
Stir in the chopped clams and heavy cream. Continue to simmer for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
