Crab Cakes

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Crab Cakes

In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, egg, panko breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties, about 2 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Chill the Cakes

Refrigerate the crab cakes for at least 30 minutes to help them set.

  4. 4

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

Make the Red Thai Curry Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the coconut milk, red curry paste, lime juice, fish sauce, and brown sugar. Stir until the sauce is well mixed and heated through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Drizzle the red Thai curry sauce over the crab cakes and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
