Prepare the Steak

Season the Steak
Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.

Make the Teriyaki Sauce

Combine the Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water. Whisk until smooth.

Cook the Sauce
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir frequently until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
