Steak

Teriyaki Sauce

Method

Prepare the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the steak on the grill/skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

Make the Teriyaki Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine the Ingredients

In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water. Whisk until smooth.

  2. 4

    Cook the Sauce

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir frequently until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.

Serve

  1. 5

    Slice and Serve

Slice the rested steak against the grain. Drizzle the prepared teriyaki sauce over the steak slices and serve immediately.
