Method
Beef Preparation

Slice the Beef
Slice the beef flank steak into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Broil the Beef
Preheat the broiler and place the beef strips on a broiler pan. Broil for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your liking. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Asparagus Preparation

Prepare the Asparagus
Trim the tough ends of the asparagus and blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes. Immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking.
Teriyaki Sauce Preparation

Make the Teriyaki Sauce
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Assembly

Roll the Asparagus
Take a beef strip and place an asparagus tip at one end. Roll the beef around the asparagus tightly. Repeat for all strips.

Drizzle with Sauce
Place the beef asparagus rolls on a serving platter and drizzle with the prepared teriyaki sauce. Serve warm.
