Pulled Pork

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rub

In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create the dry rub.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork

Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is evenly coated. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Smoke the Pork

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the seasoned pork shoulder in the smoker and smoke for about 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).

  4. 4

    Prepare the Moisture Mixture

In a separate bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar and water. During the smoking process, spritz the pork with this mixture every hour to keep it moist.

  5. 5

    Pull the Pork

Once cooked, remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes. Then, using two forks, shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the pulled pork with your favorite BBQ sauce and enjoy!
