Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, season the Black Angus ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the meat into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and red onion into thin rings. Rinse the green leaf lettuce leaves and set aside.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place the cooked patty on top, then layer with green leaf lettuce, tomato slices, red onion rings, and jalapeño chow-chow. Top with the other half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately while hot, with your favorite sides.
