Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Rigatoni
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the homemade sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
- 3
Add Tomatoes and Cream
Stir in the crushed tomatoes and red pepper flakes, and let simmer for 5 minutes. Lower the heat and add the heavy cream, mixing well. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 4
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked rigatoni to the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- 5
Serve and Garnish
Serve the rigatoni vodka in bowls, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of bread crumbs for crunch.
