Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Bucatini
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bucatini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Clams
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add red pepper flakes and stir for another 30 seconds.
- 3
Add Wine and Clams
Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Add the clams to the skillet, cover, and cook until the clams open, about 5-7 minutes. Discard any clams that do not open.
- 4
Combine Pasta and Clams
Add the cooked bucatini to the skillet. Toss well to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
- 5
Season and Serve
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
