Method

Preparation of Seafood

  1. 1

    Clean the Seafood

Rinse the clams and mussels under cold water to remove any sand. Discard any that are open and do not close when tapped. Peel the prawns and devein them, and rinse the scallops.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Sauce

In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to soften, about 5-7 minutes.

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 3

    Boil the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 4

    Add Seafood to Sauce

To the pan with the cherry tomato sauce, add the cleaned clams, mussels, prawns, and scallops. Pour in the Trebbiano wine and sprinkle with crushed red pepper. Cover the pan and cook for about 5-6 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and opened.

  2. 5

    Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked linguine to the seafood mixture. Toss gently to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh basil. Serve immediately, garnished with additional basil if desired.
