Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the prosciutto cotto into thin strips. Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them thinly. Tear the fresh mozzarella into bite-sized pieces. Set aside the stracciatella cheese.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of truffle oil to the pan.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sauté Mushrooms

Once the skillet is hot, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and tender.

  2. 4

    Add Prosciutto

Add the sliced prosciutto cotto to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  3. 5

    Incorporate Cheeses

Reduce the heat to low and add the fresh mozzarella and stracciatella cheese to the skillet. Stir gently until the cheeses begin to melt and combine with the mushroom and prosciutto mixture.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Once the cheese is melted and creamy, remove the skillet from the heat. Drizzle a little more truffle oil over the top and garnish with fresh herbs and black pepper if desired.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm, allowing guests to enjoy the rich flavors of the prosciutto, mushrooms, and creamy cheeses.
