Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps to ensure even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of the steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Pan

Heat a heavy skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat until it is very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steak in the hot pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time as needed for your preferred doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Aromatics (optional)

If using, add a sprig of fresh rosemary to the pan during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5-10 minutes on a cutting board before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the steak against the grain and serve immediately.
