Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cedar Plank

Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour to prevent it from burning while broiling.

  2. 2

    Make the Marinade

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lime juice to create the marinade.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon filet in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Broiler

Preheat your broiler to high heat.

  5. 5

    Broil the Salmon

Once the cedar plank has soaked, place it on a baking sheet and put the marinated salmon on top. Broil for about 10-12 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the cedar plank from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve the salmon with wild rice and steamed broccoli.
