Brewing Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wort

In a large brew kettle, heat 3 gallons of water to approximately 160°F. Add the pale malt and steep for 30 minutes, maintaining the temperature.

  2. 2

    Boil and Add Hops

After steeping, remove the grains and bring the wort to a boil. Add the hops and boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Add Honey

In the last 15 minutes of the boil, add the honey to the wort, stirring well to dissolve.

  4. 4

    Cool the Wort

After boiling, cool the wort down quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches around 70°F.

  5. 5

    Fermentation

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Add the yeast and seal with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks.

  6. 6

    Bottling

After fermentation, dissolve the priming sugar in 2 cups of water and boil for 5 minutes. Cool and add to the beer before bottling. Bottle the beer and cap securely.

  7. 7

    Carbonation

Let the bottles sit at room temperature for about 2 weeks to carbonate before chilling and enjoying.
