Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Biscuits

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk until just combined. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead gently. Roll out to 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Gravy

In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir to combine. Slowly add milk while stirring, bringing mixture to a simmer. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook until gravy thickens, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Eggs

In the same skillet used for the bacon, crack the eggs and fry them to desired doneness. Season with salt and black pepper.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

Split the baked biscuits in half, top with sausage gravy, and serve with crispy bacon and eggs on the side.
