Prepare the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Form the Patties
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, layer the lettuce, tomato slices, burger patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, pickles, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve the bacon cheddar burger with a side of fries.
