Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and carrots. In a separate bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until sugar is dissolved. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Make the Special Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce until well combined. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burgers

Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place two slices of American cheese on top of each patty and cover to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet. On the bottom half of each bun, place a patty with melted cheese, top with apple cider vinegar slaw, and drizzle with the special sauce. Add the top bun and serve.
