Dumpling Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped cabbage, grated carrot, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 2
Fill the Wrappers
Take a potsticker wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and press to seal. You can create pleats for a decorative touch if desired. Repeat until all filling is used.
- 3
Cook the Potstickers
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the potstickers in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes, until the bottoms are golden brown. Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, cover, and steam for about 5 minutes until the water has evaporated.
- 4
Serve
Remove the potstickers from the skillet and serve hot with sweet & sour dipping sauce.
