Method
Burger Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Beef Patties
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions (about 1/2 lb each). Shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking. Season both sides with salt and pepper to taste.

- 3
Grill the Patties
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of aged cheddar on each patty. Continue grilling for another 3-4 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger
- 5
Prepare the Buns
Toast the burger buns on the grill until lightly golden, about 1-2 minutes.
- 6
Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, layer a grilled beef patty with melted cheddar, 2 slices of crispy bacon, grilled onions, a slice of tomato, a few pickle slices, and a leaf of red leaf lettuce. Top with the other half of the bun.
Serving the Sides

Prepare the Sides
Choose between serving the burgers with mixed greens or pub fries. If using mixed greens, toss them with your favorite dressing. If using pub fries, fry or bake until crispy according to package instructions.
