Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water (1.5 cups) and sugar (1 tablespoon). Sprinkle the active dry yeast (2 tablespoons) over the water and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour (4 cups) and salt (1 teaspoon). Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil (2 tablespoons).

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or a baking sheet inside to heat up.

  2. 5

    Divide Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 3 equal portions for the three pizzas.

  3. 6

    Roll Out Dough

On a floured surface, roll out each portion into a round shape, about 12 inches in diameter.

  4. 7

    Add Sauce and Toppings

Spread marinara sauce (1 cup) evenly over each pizza base. Top with mozzarella cheese (3 cups), then add your chosen toppings: pepperoni for the first pizza, bell peppers and mushrooms for the second, and olives and fresh basil for the third.

  5. 8

    Bake Pizza

Carefully transfer the assembled pizzas to the hot pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 9

    Finish and Serve

Remove pizzas from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese (0.5 cup). Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
