Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Add Milk
Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce thickens.

Season the Sauce
Stir in the nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and mix in the cream cheese until fully melted and combined.

Mix Cheeses
In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni and the shredded cheddar cheese, Gruyère cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese. Pour the Mornay sauce over the macaroni and cheese mixture and stir until well coated.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Sprinkle the crumbled applewood smoked bacon and breadcrumbs evenly over the top of the macaroni and cheese. Dust with paprika for additional flavor.
