Preparing the Pasta

Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Add Milk
Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens (about 5-7 minutes).

Incorporate the Cheeses
Reduce the heat to low and add the cheddar, Gruyère, Parmesan, and cream cheese. Stir until the cheeses are fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, cheese sauce, and crumbled bacon. Mix well until the pasta is fully coated in the cheese sauce.

Prepare the Panko Crust
In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with chopped parsley and olive oil until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated.

Assemble and Bake
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the herbed panko mixture evenly over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and crispy.
