Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Watermelon

Cut the watermelon in half lengthwise. Use a melon baller or a sharp knife to carve out the flesh into bite-sized pieces. Set the carved watermelon halves aside as bowls.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Pineapple

Cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple. Stand it upright and slice off the skin. Then, slice the pineapple into rings and cut those rings into bite-sized chunks.

  3. 3

    Slice the Kiwis

Peel the kiwis and slice them into rounds.

  4. 4

    Wash the Strawberries

Rinse the strawberries under cold water. Remove the stems and slice them in half if they are large.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Blueberries

Rinse the blueberries under cold water and set them aside to drain.

  6. 6

    Peel and Cut the Mangoes

Peel the mangoes and slice the flesh away from the pit. Cut the mango into cubes.

  7. 7

    Prepare the Grapes

Rinse the grapes under cold water and remove them from their stems.

  8. 8

    Prepare the Cantaloupe

Cut the cantaloupe in half, remove the seeds, and then scoop out the flesh into bite-sized pieces.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Combine the Fruits

In a large mixing bowl, combine all the prepared fruits: watermelon, pineapple, kiwi, strawberries, blueberries, mango, grapes, and cantaloupe. Gently toss to mix.

  2. 10

    Fill the Watermelon Bowls

Spoon the mixed fruit salad into the carved watermelon halves, filling them generously.

  3. 11

    Garnish and Serve

Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves for added color and flavor. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
