Chicken Skewers
Tzatziki Sauce
Method
Chicken Skewers
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to the chicken. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat while the chicken is marinating.
- 4
Prepare the Skewers
Soak the wooden skewers in water for about 15 minutes to prevent burning. If using metal skewers, skip this step.
- 5
Skewer the Chicken
Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- 6
- 7
Serve
Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Tzatziki Sauce
- 8
Prepare the Cucumber
Grate the cucumber using a box grater or food processor. Place the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture.
- 9
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic (finely chop or crush the garlic clove), fresh dill, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
- 10
Blend Well
Stir all the ingredients together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- 11
Chill
Cover the tzatziki sauce and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
