Method

Prepare the Chicken Fingers

  1. 1

    Cut the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast fillets into strips, about 1-inch wide.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading Stations

Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with a beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium heat until hot.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken Fingers

Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Fries

  1. 6

    Cut the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 7

    Soak the Fries

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 8

    Dry the Fries

Drain and pat the potatoes dry with paper towels to remove moisture.

  4. 9

    Heat the Oil for Frying

In another large skillet or deep fryer, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

  5. 10

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, seasoning with salt immediately.
