Method
Beef Patty Preparation
- 1
Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.
- 2
Form the Patty
Shape the beef mixture into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of the patty to help it cook evenly.

Burger Assembly
- 4
Prepare the Vegetables
While the patty is cooking, wash the lettuce leaf and slice the tomato into thick slices. Prepare the raw onion by slicing it into thin rings.

Assemble the Burger
Once the patty is cooked, toast the burger bun lightly if desired. Spread the burger sauce on the bottom half of the bun. Layer with lettuce, the cooked patty with melted Gouda, tomato slices, pickle slices, and onion rings.
- 6
Complete the Burger
Place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
