Method
Chicken
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Make sure to coat the chicken evenly and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
- 2
Breading the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. First, dip each seasoned chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess. Then, dip it in the egg, allowing excess to drip off, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs. Make sure each piece is well-coated.
- 3
Frying the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded chicken breasts. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Fries
- 4
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into fries of your desired thickness. Soak the fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 5
Frying the Fries
In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the soaked and dried fries in batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.
