Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Beat Egg Whites
In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric mixer on medium speed until foamy.

Add Cream of Tartar
Add the cream of tartar and continue to beat until soft peaks form.

Incorporate Sugar
Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while continuing to beat until the mixture is glossy and stiff peaks form.

Add Vanilla
Gently fold in the vanilla extract until well combined.

Pipe or Spoon Meringue
Using a piping bag or spoon, dollop or pipe the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet in desired shapes.

Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the meringues are dry and easily lift off the parchment paper.

Cool
Turn off the oven and leave the meringues inside to cool completely.
