Filling Preparation
- 1
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is creamy.
Wrapping
- 2
Step 2: Wrap the Rangoon
Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling into the center of the wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal. You can also bring the two opposite corners together to form a 'purse' shape if desired. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Frying

Step 3: Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of wonton wrapper into it; if it sizzles and bubbles, the oil is ready.

Step 4: Fry the Crab Rangoon
Carefully add several filled wontons to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serving

Step 5: Serve
Allow the Crab Rangoon to cool slightly before serving. They can be served with sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping.
