Pizza Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Dough
Follow your favorite pizza dough recipe or use store-bought dough. Let it rise according to instructions.
- 2
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) or as high as it will go for a crispy crust.
- 3
Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 4
Assemble the Pizza
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread a layer of red sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle Fontina cheese evenly over the sauce.
- 5
Bake the Pizza
Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven. Sprinkle fresh basil and red pepper flakes on top. Let it cool for a minute, slice, and enjoy!
