Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, tandoori masala, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).

Cooking

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or clay oven to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C). If using a traditional clay oven, ensure it is properly heated before use.

  2. 4

    Skewer the Shrimp

Once marinated, thread the shrimp onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.

  3. 5

    Grill the Shrimp

Place the skewered shrimp on the grill. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and slightly charred. Be careful not to overcook.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate and Garnish

Remove the shrimp from the skewers and arrange them on a serving platter. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
