Chop the pistachios, cashews, and almonds into small pieces and set aside. Rinse the raisins and set them aside as well.

In a small bowl, soak the saffron threads in 2 tablespoons of warm milk for about 10 minutes to release their color and flavor.

Incorporate Nuts and Raisins
Add the chopped pistachios, cashews, almonds, and raisins to the payasam. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Finally, add the cardamom powder, mix well, and remove from heat. Let the payasam rest for a few minutes before serving.
