Rinse the Rice
Thoroughly rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch.

Soak the Rice
Soak the rinsed rice in water for at least 30 minutes to help it cook evenly.

Ensure the shrimp are peeled and deveined. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

Add the cumin seeds, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and biryani masala to the pot. Stir for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
