Prawn 65

Manchurian Sauce

Method

Prawn 65 Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Prawns

In a bowl, combine prawns, rice flour, cornstarch, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, yogurt, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat oil to 180°C (350°F).

  3. 3

    Fry Prawns

Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated prawns in batches, frying until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Chili Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Add minced garlic and slit green chilies, sauté for another minute.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Bell Pepper

Add the chopped tomatoes and bell pepper, cooking until the tomatoes are soft.

  3. 6

    Combine Sauces

Stir in soy sauce and chili sauce. Season with salt to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined.

Manchurian Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Sauté Aromatics

In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.

  2. 8

    Add Sauces and Thicken

Stir in soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, chili sauce, and water. Mix well. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry and add to the pan, stirring until the sauce thickens. Season with salt to taste.
